HKT (SEHK:6823) – HONG KONG, 21 May 2025 – PCCW Global, the international telecommunications service provider under HKT, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Qianxun Spatial Intelligence Inc. (Qianxun SI), a spatio-temporal AI technology company based in mainland China, to bring high-precision positioning and BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BeiDou) short messaging services for Hong Kong, Macao and Belt-and-Road areas.
Qianxun SI will introduce its SpatiX high-precision positioning and BeiDou SMS to Hong Kong through PCCW Global. Meanwhile, PCCW Global will tap its global network coverage and international market resources to facilitate the extension of Qianxun SI’s relevant services to Belt-and-Road markets.
Researched and developed in house, Qianxun SI’s SpatiX high-precision positioning service offers centimetre-level accuracy for enterprises, far surpassing the typical three-to-five-metre range of current smartphones. This provides effective support for applications such as low-altitude economy, autonomous driving, smart wearables, safety monitoring and power grid inspection.

The collaboration also encompasses Beidou SMS. The satellite communications service provided by China’s BeiDou enables users to send messages and share their location via the BeiDou satellite when mobile networks or Wi-Fi connections are unavailable, supporting maritime, adventure, rescue and emergency communications.
